The entrance to Will Rogers State Historic Park is located at 1501 Will Rogers State Park Road, which is right off of Sunset Boulevard in Pacific Palisades. You can call them at (310) 454-8212. It is located only a few miles north of Santa Monica and the trip will take you about 10 minutes in moderate traffic.
Once there you can see the late actor, Will Rogers’ home. There are polo grounds and trails. There are equestrian trails and bike trails. As a matter of fact, Will Rogers SHP is the beginning of the Backbone Trail which will lead you to Point Mugu State Park, across 50 miles of the Santa Monica Mountains. The Backbone trailhead is off of the Inspiration Point Loop trail and brings you into adjacent Topanga State Park.
